Service Description Spirometry at Primea Polyclinic is a non-invasive pulmonary function test measuring lung volumes and airflow rates in adults. Following staff instructions, the patient inhales deeply and forcefully exhales into the spirometer mouthpiece. The device records exhalation volume and speed, allowing the physician to detect airway obstruction or restrictive patterns and issue a detailed diagnostic report. Indicated for chronic cough, dyspnea, wheezing, suspected asthma, COPD, or routine screening for smokers. Wearing non-restrictive clothing and avoiding smoking or heavy meals immediately prior to testing is recommended; inhaler usage should follow prior medical advice.
