Service DescriptionPediatric spirometry at Primea Polyclinic measures lung volumes and airflow rates during forced breathing maneuvers. Under medical supervision, the child inhales fully and forcefully exhales into a spirometer. The device records pulmonary parameters, and airflow curves are analyzed to evaluate airway function. Recommended for children with persistent or recurrent coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, suspected asthma, or to monitor treatment response. Bronchodilator reversibility testing may be performed if indicated. Patients should follow medical guidance regarding temporary withholding of inhalers prior to testing without stopping routine medications independently. Avoiding vigorous physical activity beforehand and wearing loose clothing is advised.
