Service DescriptionPediatric hip ultrasound is a safe, non-invasive imaging method evaluating infant hip joint development and screening for developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) without ionizing radiation. The physician uses an ultrasound probe to evaluate bone and cartilage structures, femoral head position, and acetabular coverage to determine hip stability and maturity. Written findings and follow-up schedules are provided. Recommended for all infants, particularly those with risk factors such as breech delivery, positive family history, or clinical joint instability. The timeline is determined by the pediatrician or pediatric orthopedist. Dressed in easily removable clothing; bringing a spare diaper is helpful.
