The Early Pregnancy Package: Laboratory Analyses and Maternity Record Issuance at Primea Polyclinic in Belgrade is a comprehensive initial assessment designed to confirm intrauterine pregnancy and establish a safe foundation for prenatal care.
This package includes a gynecological consultation, an ultrasound exam (transvaginal or transabdominal), a Pap smear, and cervical/vaginal swabs, including STI screening (Chlamydia, Mycoplasma, Ureaplasma). Essential blood tests are also conducted: complete blood count (CBC), blood typing and Rh factor, serum iron, ferritin, fasting glucose, and a complete lipid profile. Upon completion, the patient is issued an official pregnancy record booklet (maternity health passport) where all findings, baseline values, and clinical recommendations are documented.
This visit is best scheduled shortly after a positive home pregnancy test, ideally between weeks 6 and 10 of gestation.
Due to the fasting blood draw, please arrive in the morning on an empty stomach (10–12 hours of fasting). Emptying the bladder right before the gynecological exam is advised.
